Prior to his current role as Managing Director of KBA Enterprise, Dr. Khalid B. Amar (PhD) served as Vice President of Sales for the MENA region at a global leader in gas turbine engines and turbomachinery. His primary focus was the GCC (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kingdom of Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Oman) - where he spearheaded major initiatives within the oil, gas, and power sectors, generating over $450 million in sales.

Recognizing early the potential for economic diversification in these resource-rich nations, Dr. Khalid laid the strategic foundation for what would become a thriving consulting enterprise.

He holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (focus on jet engines/ turbomachinery) from the Technical University of Darmstadt in Germany and Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. In 1996 he also received his doctorate (PhD) in Physics from the Technical University of Darmstadt. A direct descendant of Morocco’s royal Idrissid dynasty, Dr. Khalid is fluent in Arabic, French, English, and German. A passionate global traveler and connector, he brings a rare combination of cultural intelligence and technical expertise, making him the driving force.
